Dubuque School Board Narrows Superintendent Search

DUBUQUE, Iowa - The Dubuque School Board is one step closer to having a new Superintendent of Schools.

The board has narrowed its search to three finalists.

Michael Houselog, currently serving as superintendent for the Belvidere Community Unit School District in Belvidere, Illinois.

Karl Kurt, currently serving as superintendent for the Central City Schools in Central City, Iowa.

Stan Rheingans, currently serving as interim superintendent and executive director of human resources for the Dubuque Community School District.

The board with hold finalist interviews in early September.

Former Superintendent Dr. Larie Godinez resigned her position in June after the board voted to begin the process to terminate her.
