DUBUQE, Iowa - Everyone has been located after an overnight river search.

Someone called authorities for a rescue on the Mississippi River around 11:30 p.m. Wednesday.

Police on the scene said there were four people on a boat north of the lock and dam in Dubuque.

The boat started taking on some water and one of the passengers Robert Wallace, 39, jumped into the river, trying to swim to the shore.

Police said he got too far away from the other three in the boat and that's when they called for help. Searchers located him a short time later walking on the railroad tracks.

Authorities towed the boat to shore on the Wisconsin side of the river.
