Driver Dies After Crashing Into Ditch

LINN COUNTY, Iowa - The Linn County Sheriff responded to an accident on Central City Road just east of North Marion Road. Deputies found a Ford pick-up went into the ditch on the north side and into a nearby corn field. Investigators determined the truck was traveling west on Central City Road when it entered the ditch.

The driver was declared dead at the scene. The Alburnett Fire Department and Northeast Ambulance Service assisted with the investigation.
