Driver Charged After Hitting Iowa State Patrol Car

LINN COUNTY, Iowa - A driver was charged after hitting an Iowa State Patrol vehicle Saturday night. The crash happened on southbound Interstate 380 near Center Point shortly before 6 p.m. The officer, Bradley Bartz, said he was finishing up paperwork following a traffic stop when another vehicle rammed into the unmarked car. Both vehicles sustained significant damage.

39 year old Joseph Gregory was charged with operating while intoxicated and ticketed for unsafe approach to certain vehicles.
