CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa - A 29-year-old Cedar Rapids man is accused of multiple charges after police say he injured at least three people during a supper time assault at Outback Steakhouse on Sunday.

Matthew Lee Sanders is accused of willful injury causing bodily injury, assault while displaying a dangerous weapon, assault causing bodily injury and disorderly conduct, according to court documents.

Documents said Sanders was arrested after he attacked three people, unprovoked, at the Outback Steakhouse located along First Avenue SE in Cedar Rapids using a glove with glass shards and a chair.

Police said Sanders punched a woman several times with a glove containing shards of glass and threw a chair at a second woman, who was seven months pregnant, during the incident. Documents said the woman was induced into labor due to the assault. He also assaulted a male during the incident.

Authorities said Sunday that the victims did not know Sanders.
