Dinner Helps Radio DJ Scott Steele Fight Cancer
SPRINGVILLE, Iowa -- Ever since doctors first diagnosed Scott Steele with stage four colo-rectal cancer 5 years ago, the KHAK morning radio show host never doubted he would beat it.
"There is nothing else I can do except fight it," said Steele
On Sunday, Steele got some help from his friends and listeners. Sally's on Broadway in Springville hosted the Supper for Steele to raise money to help with the costs of the treatments.
"When they diagnosed me they gave me, without treatment, about six months. And I said, you don't know who I am, it's not going to be 6 months," Steele recalls. "I have a lot of stuff to do and that's what we're doing tonight is stuff."
