Des Moines Police Investigate Shooting Near School

    DES MOINES, Iowa (AP) - Des Moines police say at least 10 gunshots were fired in a drive-by shooting near King Elementary School.

    The Des Moines Register reports that shooting happened Friday night.

    Police found no evidence that anything in the area was hit.

    Residents reported hearing an outburst gunfire around 8 p.m. near the intersection of Clark and 18th streets. Officers recovered 10 spent shell casings in the area. Nine looked like they were the same caliber. A tenth appeared to be of another make and caliber.

    No injuries were reported and no suspects have been identified.
