Des Moines Police Identify Man They Say was Homicide Victim

DES MOINES, Iowa (AP) — Des Moines police have released the name of a man whose body was found under a railroad bridge in downtown.

Officials say the death of 56-year-old Stanley Golinsky, of Des Moines, is under investigation as a homicide. His body was found between a bike path and the Des Moines River on Wednesday.

A passer-by discovered the body.

Detectives are working with the Polk County medical examiner as part of their investigation.
