CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa - A Delta flight carrying over 100 passengers made an unscheduled landing at the Eastern Iowa Airport Tuesday night.

The passengers were held behind security after being let off the plane.

A TSA agent tells KCRG.com that the plane was diverted to Cedar Rapids after losing an engine. The agent said the plane was heading to St. Louis after departing from Minneapolis earlier in the afternoon.

First responders from both Johnson and Linn Counties as well as airport firefighting teams gathered on the runway prior to the landing.

No one was available at the Delta check-in counter for comment.
