CORALVILLE, Iowa - Three deer on Monday morning tried to get a jump on the Black Friday sales in Coralville when they surprised the staff at Kohl's by walking in through the automatic front doors, staff members said.

Coralville Police responded to the store at 2795 Commerce Drive around 9 a.m. about the reported uninvited guests, said Coralville police Chief Barry Bedford.

An employee said by the time officers arrived, Kohl's staff had guided the deer out the doors -- two went out the front and a third exited out the back of the store.

"We had about 30 associates get together and chase them out," according to the employee, who didn't want to be named for the story.
