Name of Woman Killed in Cedar Rapids Motorcycle Crash Released
CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa – Police have released the name of a woman who died Friday night in a motorcycle accident.
Shawna M. Skinner, 34, of rural Jesup, died in the single-vehicle crash near the corner of 12th Street and 29th Avenue SW, authorities said. The driver of the motorcycle, Brett Feuerhelm, 41, of Van Horne, was taken to St. Luke's Hospital with non-life threatening injuries. Police said Feuerhelm was northbound on 12th Street SW and crossing 29th Avenue SW around 7:30 p.m. when the motorcycle left the roadway and hit a street sign. An investigation was under way to determine the cause of the crash. No charges have been filed. Most Popular |
