Davenport Man Faces Arson, Assault Charges

DAVENPORT, Iowa (AP) - A 26-year-old man has been arrested following a Davenport house fire early on Christmas morning.

Authorities say Ryan Eckstein, of Davenport, faces a felony charge of arson and a misdemeanor charge of domestic assault.

The fire was reported around 2:50 a.m. Tuesday, and fire officials say the blaze left a woman and two children homeless.

Eckstein remains in Scott County Jail. Online court records don't list the name of his attorney in the case.
