DUBUQUE, Iowa - DAC or Developing Alternative Choices, has officially withdrawn their bid to purchase the Julien Care Facility in Dubuque.

Presently, Dubuque County owns the Julien Care Facility which is currently operated by DAC, Inc.

This spring, the Dubuque County Board of Supervisors placed the facility up for sale causing a bidding war for months between present operators DAC and Hillcrest Family Services.

But that bidding war ended today as DAC withdrew their bid for the facility, now leaving Hillcrest as the only bidder.

“I think it’s gonna help the transition be much smoother and better for the employees and residents at the Julien Care Facility. ” Said Daryl Klein, Dubuque County Supervisor.

On Monday the Dubuque County Supervisors will be hosting a public hearing about the Julien Care Facility.
