Cyclones Are Dancing, Play Notre Dame in NCAA Tournament

DAYTON, Ohio (AP) - Notre Dame has earned its sixth NCAA tournament bid in the last seven seasons. The Fighting Irish are the seventh seed in the West Region and will face No. 10 seed Iowa State on Friday.

No. 24 Notre Dame lost to fourth-ranked Louisville 68-57 Friday night, the third straight year the Cardinals beat the Fighting Irish in the semifinals of the Big East tournament.

Earlier in the year, Notre Dame beat Louisville - the No. 1 overall seed in the NCAA field - 104-101 in an epic five-overtime game.

Iowa State lost to Kansas in the Big 12 tournament semifinals Friday night. The Cyclones beat UConn in last year's NCAA tournament before losing to Kentucky in the third round.
