Crews Battle House Fire in Southeast Cedar Rapids

CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa - Firefighters are on the scene of a house fire in southeast Cedar Rapids.

Fire crews were called to 1545 Bever Avenue SE at about 5:07 p.m. Friday. Firefighters were able to contain most of the damage to the basement of the home.

Everyone was able to escape the home uninjured.

An investigation into the cause of the fire is underway.
