CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa-- Here in Eastern Iowa we create many things.
From theater that entertains at TCR to appliances that change the way we live at Whirlpool. This week, all that and more is being celebrated as park of the first ever Creative Week. It's a seven day, seven county celebration of all things created in the region. There are more than 100 events taking place including film screenings, concerts, and dance recitals. Creative week features more than just art and performance though, it also highlights technology and industry. For example, throughout this week 30 local manufacturers are opening their doors and giving tours so the public can see what and how they create. The goal is to get people to explore all that is happening in their community. Creative week runs October 19th-October 26th, with a wrap party taking place at Cedar Rapids Winery on October 28th.
