LISBON, Iowa - Three people were injured following a three-vehicle crash Thursday morning. The crash happened shortly after 10:40 a.m. along Highway 30, just east of Lisbon.
A car, driven by Sabrina Cruz, 21, of Cedar Rapids, was eastbound on Highway 30 when she drifted left of center striking a westbound trailer towed by a pick-up truck driven by Michael Clark, 42, of Mt Vernon. The collision caused the car to spin into the path of a westbound pick-up truck driven by Harold Goldsmith, 73 of Clarence.
Goldsmith and his wife Patsy, 72, were transported to St Luke's Hospital in Cedar Rapids for what appeared to be non-life-threatening injuries. Cruz was flown to University Hospitals in Iowa City for more serious injuries. Clark was uninjured in the accident. Clark and the Goldsmiths were wearing their safety belts.
The accident blocked Highway 30 for two hours. The accident remains under investigation by the Linn County Sheriff's Office.
