IOWA CITY, Iowa (AP) — An eastern Iowa couple celebrated the Hawkeyes' homecoming game with two "I do"s. Adriana Elizalde and Jeromey Ford got married at the gates of Kinnick Stadium before Saturday's game.

It was the West Liberty couple's third anniversary.

The 28-year-old bride tells the Iowa City Press-Citizen that it was more meaningful to share their special day with "tons of Hawkeye fans." She wore a black dress and yellow flowers in her hair. He wore a Hawkeye tie and yellow boutonniere.

Ford, the 30-year-old groom, is being deployed in March with the Army Reserves. He said before the game that the only thing that would make the day better was a Hawkeye victory.

The team obliged with a 24-3 win over Penn State.
