Coe College 'Happy with Campus Alert System'
CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa - When a shots rang out over the weekend, Coe College says it was ready to protect students.
Early Saturday morning, police arrested two people after a shooting inside the Kumbala nightclub on First Avenue. (full story) No one was hurt, but police found guns and crack cocaine. As a precaution, Coe College sent out an alert to students warning them to stay in their rooms. About an hour later it gave the all clear. Coe says it's happy with the campus alert system.
