Cherokee Man Charged With Attempting to Murder Ex-Girlfriend

CHEROKEE, Iowa - Northwest Iowa police accuse a man from Cherokee of trying to kill a former girlfriend.

Sioux City TV station KCAU reports Joseph Kosiba, 34, is charged with attempted murder.

Cherokee police say he kicked in the back door of the woman's house Tuesday night and chased her through the kitchen with a hammer.
