Charles City Fire Crews Rescue Two on Cedar River
CHARLES CITY, Iowa - Two men had to be rescued Saturday evening after their boat lost power on the Cedar River.
Ryan Fisher, 25, and another man were in the pontoon boat about 8 p.m. when it started floating over the dam. The Charles City Fire Department had to rescue the men from a bridge pillar downstream.
Neither was wearing a life jacket and the boat had not yet been recovered Saturday evening. It's unknown if the men are injured.
The Iowa Department of Natural Resources continues to investigate the incident.
