Concrete Truck Crashes, Leaves Mess For Deputies

WASHINGTON COUNTY, Iowa - Deputies in Louisa and Washington Counties had a mess on their hands after a concrete truck crashed Wednesday morning near the county line on County Road G36. The truck, which flipped onto its side, was carrying roughly 12,000 pounds of conrete according to a deputy on scene.
The crash happened at about 9:30 a.m.. The truck appeared to sideswipe an oncoming SUV, which sustained significant damage.
The road was partially shut down while crews worked to remove the truck from a farm property where it ended up.
The status of the drivers isn’t clear at this time. Multiple ambulances were observed leaving the area.
