CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa - Every year the Iowa Chapter of the American Water Works Association holds a blind taste test to determine which community provides the best tasting water.
The entries are judged by a panel of local TV personalities on appearance, odor, taste, after-taste, and ‘feel in the mouth’.
This year the panel selected Cedar Rapids as the best tasting water in Iowa. Cedar Rapids won this award for the first time in 2010.
The other communities entering the contest included: Des Moines, West Des Moines, Ames, Keokuk, Marshalltown, Newton, Mason City and Central Iowa Water.
