Cedar Rapids Shooting Sends Man to the Hospital
CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa - Cedar Rapids Police are investigating after an afternoon shooting, Sunday. One person was injured and taken to the hospital.
Police say it happened at 12:07 p.m. in the 1700 block of Bever Avenue SE. Officers say the injured man was shot in the leg, but is expected to be OK.
Police say the shooter also hit a nearby house and car. An involved vehicle also side-swiped a van as it sped away. Police say several people also ran from the scene. No arrests have been made. Officers do not yet know what spurred the shooting.
