Cedar Rapids Salvation Army Short of Red Kettle Goal

CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa - The Red Kettle bells have stopped ringing but the Salvation Army is still hoping to meet their fund raising goal for the year.

Salvation Army officials in Cedar Rapids said they've raised 79% of their $750,000 goal, which makes up about 40% of the organization's annual operating budget. The money helps provide a community meal program, rent and utility assistance, supplemental food boxes, senior services, youth character building and after school programs, and various other social services.

All donations are tax-deductible, and those made through January 31st will be added toward the Christmas goal.

You can mail your donations to 1000 C Ave NW Cedar Rapids, IA 52405 or online here.
