CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa - Police are investigating an armed robbery that happened on the city's northeast side shortly after 8 pm Friday night.

The incident took place at 1201 Maplewood Drive Northeast, by Garfield Elementary.

Police say someone shot out the back window of a car. Investigators say they have many people to interview for facts and it will take them some time to sort the information out.

Authorities are not releasing any other details right now, but check back for updates.
