Cedar Rapids Crash Sends SUV Rolling; No One Hurt

CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa -- No one was hurt in a two-car collision that sent one vehicle careening down Blairs Ferry Road NE Monday morning.

Cedar Rapids fire and police personnel responded to the intersection of Blairs Ferry Road and Council Street NE around 10:20 a.m. for a report of a collision. Details on the crash are not available at this time, but it was evident one of the vehicles – a white SUV – rolled before coming to a stop on its roof.

Almost unbelievably, officials said no one was hurt.

"There were no injuries," said Cedar Rapids fire Capt. Ron Vanhoeck.

The crash shut down westbound lanes on Blairs Ferry Road NE and backed up traffic in the eastbound lanes.
