Cedar Falls Man Arrested for Theft After Returning to Scene of the Crime
CEDAR FALLS, Iowa - A Cedar Falls man police said swiped a bottle of liquor from a Waterloo convenience store was caught after they said he returned to steal more.
The Waterloo-Cedar Falls Courier reported Waterloo police arrested 44-year-old Nathan Andrew Herron, of 2116 Tremont St., for two counts of third-degree theft. His visits to the Kum & Go, 1976 Franklin St., came less than two hours apart, police said.
According to court records, Herron first entered the store Monday afternoon, picked up a $29 bottle of Crown Royal and stashed it inside his coat before leaving. Store workers called police about 90 minutes later to say Herron had returned for another theft.
Police found Herron on a nearby street with some of the stolen property. Officers arrested him and took him to the Black Hawk County Jail.
