Cab Driver Robbed, Police Search for Suspects

CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa - Police are still searching for suspects after a female cab driver was robbed early Sunday morning, authorities said.

Officials responded to a report of a robbery in progress at 4825 Johnson Ave. NW around 12:17 a.m. According to police, a 41-year-old Century Cab driver picked up five black males in Marion and transported them to the 4800 block of First Avenue W, when four black males in back jumped out and ran. The black male in front allegedly pulled a knife and demanded money, police said.

The subject then ran from the cab with an undisclosed amount of money, authorities said. The subjects are described as 16-18 year old black males wearing hoodies, they were last seen running southwest from Johnson Avenue.
