DUBUQUE, Iowa (AP) — Dubuque may soon have its own brewpub downtown after the business' owners raised more than $31,000 online.

The Dubuque Telegraph Herald reports Jay Jubeck raised the money on the Kickstarter website for a new brewery in Dubuque.

Initially, Jubeck plans to open a brewery one day a week to deliver beer to people who joined the brewery and sell beer by the pint.

Jubeck and his business partner started collecting pledges from area residents about six weeks ago. Then they launched the online campaign to raise $30,000 to help with startup costs.
