Body Found After Waukee Standoff Is Identified
WAUKEE, Iowa (AP) — Authorities have released the name of a man whose body was found in his Waukee home after a 13-hour standoff with police.
He was identified as 48-year-old Michael Pfannebecker. Police say he'd shot himself.
The incident in the Des Moines suburb began about 12:30 a.m. Monday when a woman called police to say her husband was armed and intoxicated.
Officers were able to help the woman leave but the man refused to come out. Negotiations began about 3:30 a.m. and continued through the day.
