  • Photo
BLACK HAWK COUNTY, Iowa - The Black Hawk County Sheriff's Office says two people were hurt when a motorcycle and pick-up collided on Dubuque Road near the intersection with South Canfield Road around 9:35 p.m. Saturday.

Derek Lee Martie and Katlyn Leekley, both from Jesup, were on the motorcycle. They were both airlifted to University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics. The sheriff's department did not return a call asking for an update on their condition.

Deputies arrested the driver of the truck, Bryan Cornwell, of Oelwein, for OWI and leaving the scene of an accident. They say additional charges are pending against Cornwell.
