BRANDON, Iowa - Investigators say a fire that started in a basement wood stove destroyed a home near Brandon Wednesday afternoon.

Brandon firefighters arrived on scene around 1:00 p.m. to find the house fully engulfed.

Officials say an elderly couple lived in the home but no injuries were reported.

An investigation is continuing.
