Bacon Fest sizzled in Cedar Rapids

CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa - Cedar Rapids hosted its first Bacon Fest on Saturday, featuring vendors from around the area. Each of them had a bacon-themed dish or treat to try out.

It was the first major event at the new McGrath Ampitheatre on the banks of the Cedar River.

The event also featured live music, a bacon eating contest, and a pig calling competition.
