DES MOINES, Iowa (AP) - Authorities have confirmed that a body found in Saylorville Lake is that of a 22-year-old man missing since he jumped off a boat earlier this week.

The Polk County Sheriff's Office says Friday that the body recovered on the north shore of the lake Thursday night is Luis Cuadra, of Perry.

Authorities had been searching for Cuadra's body since Tuesday evening, when witnesses say he leaped into the water off a pontoon boat near the Cherry Glen boat ramp and didn't surface.

Saylorville Lake is just north of Des Moines.
