Autopsy Results Pending in Hiawatha Toddler's Death

HIAWATHA, Iowa - The Iowa Division of Criminal Investigation and the Department of Human Services are investigating the death of a Hiawatha 15-month-old.

Hiawatha Police responded to a 911 call and the toddler was found unresponsive in the 700 block of Brandon Avenue Saturday afternoon. The child later died at St. Luke’s Hospital in Cedar Rapids.

Officials haven't released further information about the death and autopsy results from the State Medical Examiner’s Office are pending.
