Authorities Identify Man Missing On Cedar River; Search Continues

WATERLOO, Iowa -- The Black Hawk County Sheriff’s Office has identified the Waterloo man who went missing while tubing on the Cedar River on Sunday.
Deputies responded to Black Hawk Park at 7:29 p.m. Sunday for a report of a possible drowning. Authorities tried to find a man who had been tubing on the river, flipped into the river and didn’t resurface.
On Tuesday, the Black Hawk County Sheriff’s Office identified the missing man as 19-year-old Andre D. Tims of Waterloo.
Officials searched until dark on Sunday and resumed the search Monday, using a boat with Side View Sonar. The search will resume today.
