Authorities ID Man Killed in Friday Night Crash
BONDURANT, Iowa (AP) - Authorities have identified a man killed in a two-vehicle crash near the Des Moines suburb of Bondurant.
Polk County Sheriff's officials say 46-year-old Gary Ross Bushman of Collins died in the crash that happened around 8:50 p.m. Friday. When emergency workers arrived at the scene, they found one vehicle in the road and the second in a ditch.
The other driver was not seriously injured and refused medical treatment at the scene. Bushman was pronounced dead at the scene.
The sheriff's office says a preliminary investigation shows Bushman was travelling in the wrong lane of traffic at the time of the crash.
An autopsy will be performed Monday on Bushman's remains.
