NEWTON, Iowa The Jasper County Sheriff's Office held a news conference Monday to discuss new developments in a 31-year-old double homicide case.

Authorities announced Terri Supino has been arrested and charged in connection with the Copper Dollar Ranch murders.

Melisa Gregory, 17, and Steven Fisher, 20, were killed March 3, 1983, at the ranch near Newton.

Supino, 53, of Altoona, was Fisher's wife, authorities said. Supino and Fisher were separated at the time of the killings. They had two children.

Authorities said they have conducted hundreds of interviews in connection with this case.

Supino is charged with two counts of first-degree murder. She was arrested on Monday by Altoona police and Jasper County deputies.

She is being held in the Jasper County Jail pending bail of $400,000.

Authorities are asking anyone with information about the case to come forward and contact the Jasper County Sheriff's Office at 641-792-5912.
