Armed Robbery at Casey’s General Store in Cedar Rapids

CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa – Cedar Rapids Police are searching for a suspect this morning following an armed robbery at a convenience store on the southeast side of Cedar Rapids.
It happened around 1:20 a.m. at the Casey’s General Store, 1201 First Avenue SE, Cedar Rapids. Aman wearing dark clothing and a black ski-mask entered the store, showed a handgun and demanded cash from the clerk, officer said early this morning. He then ran away with an unknown amount of money.
Police were still on scene just before 2:00 a.m. and have not made any arrests. No one was injured in the robbery, according to police. If anyone has any information they are asked to contact Cedar Rapids Police.
