Alburnett Man Accused Of Inapropriate Behavior With Teen Girl

MANCHESTER, Iowa – A 48-year-old Alburnett man is accused of fondling a 13-year-old Manchester girl in November.

According to a news release, Edward Reed is charged with lascivious act with a child, a Class C felony. Police said Reed touched the teen’s genitals at a Manchester home.

On Jan. 10, Manchester police and Delaware County deputies conducted a search and arrest warrant in Alburnett where they seized several items related to the investigation, police said.

According to Manchester Police Chief Bruce Trapp, Reed is an acquaintance of the victim’s mother.

Reed is currently being held at the Delaware County jail on a $10,000 bond.
