Agribusiness Report: January 15th

DES MOINES, Iowa - On the January 15th Agribusiness Report: While the continued delays of the new Farm Bill may seem normal by now, an Iowa Corn Growers Association spokesperson says a shrinking rural population means farmers have less sway on Capitol Hill.

And 2013 was tough on the ethanol industry. Not only did the Environmental Protection Agency propose to lower renewable fuel standards; it also reversed an amendment on a key green house gas definition.
