CEDAR RAPIDS - Cedar Rapids' mayor was behind the wheel when her car hit a bicyclist Thursday night.

Kay Halloran says 28-year-old Christopher Pyle was walking his bike across Eighth Avenue SE and she didn't see him.

Pyle declined treatment after the accident.

Police cited Halloran for failing to yield on a left turn. Now, she'll have to pay nearly $100 worth of fines and court costs.
