Oskaloosa Woman Facing Attempted Murder Charge After Stabbing

OSKALOOSA — An Oskaloosa woman faces attempted murder and domestic assault charges after a stabbing on Sunday evening.

The Oskaloosa Herald reports that at around 5:45 p.m. Sunday, police responded to a home at 1011 Green Street after a report of a stabbing. When police arrived, they found a 34-year-old man lying in the front yard suffering from a stab wound to the chest.

Amber Thompson, 29, has been charged with attempted murder and domestic assault causing injury.

The victim was taken to Mahaska County Hospital and is currently in stable condition.

Thompson is being held in the Mahaska County Jail on $25,000 bond.
