JONES COUNTY - Animal rescue groups will buy 17 dogs seized from a Jones County breeder they first accused of running a puppy mill.

Acting on tips from rescue groups, investigators seized about 60 dogs from Thunder Ridge Kennels near Wyoming on March 15th.

That breeder does not face any charges and all but 17 dogs have been returned.

The rescue groups decided to buy those remaining dogs and hope to find new homes for them.
