RIVERSIDE - Two people are injured after an accident in Washington County.
Norman Bruty and Zachary Frank, both of Washington, were taken to the hospital after their pickups collided at an intersection near Riverside, the Washington County Sheriff’s Office said.
The two were taken by ambulance to University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics after the accident about 12:40 p.m. at the corner of Highway 218 and 130th Street. Information on their conditions wasn’t available Sunday night. The sheriff’s report didn’t list the men’s ages.
According to the sheriff’s report, Bruty was driving north on Highway 218 when his pickup was struck by Frank’s, which was eastbound on 130th Street.
Charges are pending against Frank for failure to yield, the sheriff’s report said.
