CHARLES CITY — A Charles City teen who has pleaded not guilty to five felony charges in the death of his 3-year-old cousin is next due in court March 29.

Edgar Concepcion Jr., 15, is charged as an adult with first-degree murder, two counts of first-degree sexual abuse, one count of second degree sexual abuse and one count of child endangerment.

The victim, 3-year-old Krystel Banes, is the daughter of Rene and Edvilla Banes of Charles City.

The hearing in Floyd County District Court is to address defense requests for a change of venue and pre-trial release of the defendant.

The trial is set for May 4.
