NORTH LIBERTY - Police stand guard at a North Liberty apartment for more than 30 hours after a woman was found dead.

Police say they'll stop protecting the apartment sometime Thursday, but their investigation will continue. Police responded to 245 Beaver Kreek Center Wednesday morning on a call that a woman stopped breathing.

There are still a lot of unanswered questions. For several hours, we monitored police officers and investigators going in and out of the apartment building.

Police say when they found the woman dead Wednesday, something, we don't know what, didn't add up about her death. So, police immediately secured the woman's apartment, to keep any evidence secure. Police even interviewed the woman's roommate, but did not arrest him.

On Thursday, an autopsy concluded that there was no foul play in the woman's death. But investigators continued to take out bags full of evidence, including a computer.

They're hopeful this will help them determine the woman's cause of death. We asked the North Liberty Police Chief if he believes their investigation will result in any charges.

"There's always a possibility but until everything comes back we never want to say never. Still, there's a slim chance," said Chief Jim Warkentin, North Liberty Police.

Police say they intend to release the apartment back to the woman's roommate.

They say there is no public safety threat.
