CEDAR RAPIDS - A Target cashier faces theft charges for allegedly stealing $1,100 from her register at one of the Cedar Rapids stores.

Sebrena Eison, 36, of Cedar Rapids, is charged with second-degree theft.

Managers at Target, 1030 Blairs Ferry Rd. NE, discovered that money had been missing over a five-week period starting around Feb. 9.

“They were continuously coming up short, and so they started their own investigation,” said Sgt. Cristy Hamblin, of the Cedar Rapids Police Department.

Store surveillance video showed Eison swiping the cash, Hamblin said.

Eison was taken to the Linn County Jail. She was free on bond by Wednesday afternoon, officials said.
