JOHNSON COUNTY - A Johnson County man accused of killing his girlfriend has moved from a hospital room to a jail cell.

The charge against Eric Osborn, 26, is first-degree murder.

Court records show he admitted killing Sarah McKay, 34, on March 7th.

After a night of drinking, drugs and sex, Osborn told investigators he beat McKay with a bat and then choked her to death.

The Johnson County Sheriff's Office says Osborn then tried to take his own life.

After his release from the hospital Tuesday, deputies took him to the Johnson County Jail.
